The Research Team is responsible for delivering alpha through direct data-driven security selection and by partnering with the investment teams across Active Equites to enhance their traditional investment research with advanced analytical capabilities that leverage large, unstructured, and alternative data. The Portfolio Strategy Team oversees the portfolio design and construction for Active Equities to maximize alpha generation across geographies, sectors, and strategies.

Hala Kosyura
Managing Director, Strategy and Operations
Hala leads the department’s Strategy and Operations teams. She joined CPP Investments in the Portfolio Value Creation group in 2018 where she led value creation efforts across multiple Real Assets, Private Equity and Credit Investment holdings.
Prior to joining CPP Investments, Hala spent over 10 years at Boston Consulting Group and worked with global financial service and technology companies specializing in areas such as strategy and large-scale transformation.
Hala holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto and is a holder of ICD.D designation.
Christina Mah Darcy
Managing Director, Business Management, Strategy & Operations
Christina oversees the Business Management team that is responsible for managing all financial, operational and administrative activities for the AE Department.
Christina has 20+ years of experience comprising of business management, investment operations, public markets, hedge funds, management and financial reporting, public accounting, internal and external audit, operational due diligence and tax. Prior to joining CPP investments in 2009, Christina held roles at various organizations including Ernst & Young in Assurance and Advisory with a focus on the financial services sector, Ontario Teachers Pension plan as an internal auditor and Russell Investments as their Controller. Christina also held a Board seat on CPPIB MAP Cayman SPC for 3 years.
Christina holds a BA and is also a CPA and CA Charterholder.
