Analyst positions across the organization (specific programs are highlighted below) are available to students from all academic backgrounds. Roles are typically recruited a year in advance, with the majority posted in August.

CPP Investments values diversity of thought and background and believes building diverse teams fosters better investment decisions. One way we increase diversity of thought by is providing rotational programs allowing students to work within different departments and expand their networks.

CPP Investments is invested in helping you build a career that matters.

Fundamental Investments Rotational Program

The Fundamental Investments Rotational Program gives recent graduates with the opportunity to complete rotations across different departments to learn more about investing and fundamental analysis. Rotational Analysts will be given exposure to different investment departments in equity and debt groups, in both public and private markets where you will learn how to analyze and evaluate companies, industries and private equity fund managers. Fundamental analysis involves digging deep into a company’s financial statements to determine its profit and growth potential and its risk profile and form a view on the fair value of the company.

The Program helps Rotational Analysts build their professional network, support their development and provides a community that is invested in Analysts’ reaching their full potential at CPP Investments. Analysts graduate from the Program with a strong understanding of functional interdependences and various investment strategies.

The program goes beyond technical components of investing to include formal training, apprenticeship, mentoring and meaningful performance management. Learning and growth is vital to development of future employees, and it’s our goal to provide both formal and informal opportunities to help you gain the full range of skills for an investment role at CPP Investments.
