The APAC Credit group invests at both the asset and corporate level using various instruments, including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, convertible bonds, senior and mezzanine loans and structured credit products including non-performing loan assets.

APAC Credit invests geographically across Asia-Pacific in any sector and can provide both dollar and local currency solutions. The group invests both in primary and secondary credit markets, with investments made both on an absolute and relative return basis.

The group targets individual holdings of $50 million to $1 billion-plus, and has proven ability to lead complex, custom and creative solutions for borrowers. APAC Credit also selectively engages in strategic partnerships in core local markets to provide scale and local access.

Hong Kong

Raymond Chan

Managing Director, Head of APAC Credit

Raymond leads our Asia credit business. Prior to joining CPP Investments, he was a managing director at SSG Capital, responsible for special situations investments and secured lending in Greater China.

Previously, Raymond was the Head of Greater China at Intermediate Capital Group, Senior Fund Manager at RAB Capital and head of Asia Asset Management at D.B. Zwirn. He started his career with HSBC, departing as a team head of the Real Estate Sector.

Raymond holds a BSSc in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA from the EMBA program of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Vincent Hui

Managing Director, APAC Credit

Vincent focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and managing credit investments across the Asia Pacific region, with a focus on Greater China.  Vincent was previously a member of the Americas and European Credit groups in the Toronto and London offices, respectively.

Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2010, Vincent worked at Credit Suisse in Los Angeles.

Vincent holds an BA in Business Administration (Hons) from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
